The First Visit

Whether you’ve never been to a chiropractor before or you’ve been going for decades, we’ll do our best to ensure you are comfortable throughout your visit. Feel free to ask as many questions as you deem necessary to feel confident in your decision to allow us to assist you with your health goals. The more information you are able to provide about your health and any concerns you have, the better we are able to help you.

The first visit will include a comprehensive exam and health history. This gives the doctor an opportunity to understand what your complaints are as well as your overall general state of health.  The doctor will perform a detailed exam which will allow him to develop a diagnosis and an appropriate care plan. With the exception of rare circumstances, the doctor will adjust you following the exam, potentially perform some soft tissue work, and may give you some stretches to help facilitate healing. Follow-up care will be scheduled as needed.

We do not take x-rays in our facility. If you do need x-rays, we use the Verde Valley Medical Center. If you’d prefer to have x-rays taken before being seen by the chiropractor, we can give you a referral or you can ask your primary care physician for a referral for x-rays. If you have x-rays, MRI’s, or any information that may be helpful in understanding the scope of your state of health, please bring it with you.

The first visit generally takes between 45 minutes to an hour depending on your concerns, questions, and the necessary treatment.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete the initial intake information before your first visit.
